Description

First conceptualized by Kalashnikov Concern shortly after the signing of the Treaty of Reunification on December 25th, 2024, the AK-24 was created by Viktor Kalashnikov, the son of legendary AK-47 designer Mikhail Kalashnikov. The younger Kalashnikov designed the AK-24 based off the feedback of the New Soviet Armed Forces when they used the AK-12 and AK-74M during the 2nd Russian Civil War from 2018-2023. Premier Latyeskov himself even gave some of this feedback since he used the AK-12 during the 2nd Civil War, and most of the New Soviet Armed Forces along with Latyeskov agreed to make the AK-24 a combination of the best aspects of the AK-12 and AK-74M, though the weapon is essentially a more modernized AK-74M, and is thus easier and less complicated to use than the AK-12, and can be made for both left and right handed shooters. It borrows the same barrel and rear sight of the AK-12, with the rear sight being further back on the top receiver for better target acquisition, and the dust cover moves upward on a hinge rather than completely coming off, similar to the AKS-74u. A new polymer handguard similar in design to the AK-47 was placed onto the weapon as well, though with the addition of rails on all four sides. Like both the AK-74M and AK-12, the AK-24 is chambered for the 5.45x39mm round, and is just as accurate if not more so than its predecessors. It has remained the main service rifle of the New USSR throughout all of its conflicts, and will probably remain so for many more years to come, with slight alterations.

From top to bottom:

The DBV-24 is a 8-shell-magazine-fed shotgun that is chambered for 12-gauge shells, and is exceptional at close range. It has semi-automatic capabilities.

The PP-24 is an SMG that is chambered for the 7.62x25mm Tokarev round with a standard 30-round magazine, and is quite popular among tank crews, though the Spetsnaz and VDV are also known to use the weapon. It has semi-automatic and fully-automatic capabilities.

The AKU-24 is a carbine variant of the AK-24 that is chambered for the 5.45x39mm round with a standard 30-round magazine, and is mainly utilized by the Spetsnaz and VDV, though it is also popular among tank crews due to its compact size when the stock is folded. It has semi-automatic and fully-automatic capabilities.

The AK-24 is the main service rifle that is chambered for the 5.45x39mm round with a standard 30-round magazine and serves all Armed Forces branches of the New USSR. It has semi-automatic and fully-automatic capabilities.

The AKM-24 is somewhat of a battle rifle variant that is chambered for the 7.62x39mm round with a standard 30-round magazine. Like the first-ever Kalashnikov rifle that it was based off of, it has semi-automatic and fully-automatic capabilities. Before its introduction into the Armed Forces, Colonel Vladimir Maklenskov of the 13th Spetsnaz Detachment utilized a heavily-modified AK-47 of essentially the same design, and his rise to fame within the Armed Forces created demand for the AKM-24, first among other Spetsnaz operatives, and later among the entire Armed Forces.

The RPK-24 is a light machine gun that is chambered for the 5.45x39mm round with a standard 60-round quad-stack magazine. It has semi-automatic and fully-automatic capabilities.

The SVD-24 is the preferred designated marksman rifle of all branches of the Armed Forces of the New USSR, and is chambered for the 7.62x54mmR round with a standard 10-round magazine. It has only semi-automatic capabilities.

The PTV-24 is an anti-material rifle used for both anti-tank roles and long-range sniping, and is chambered for the 12.7x108mm round with a standard 10-round magazine. It has only semi-automatic capabilities.

The New Union of Soviet Socialist Republics is a secular, Democratic Socialist nation led by Premier Rik Latyeskov. The New USSR was formed from the aftermath of the 2nd Russian Civil War when General Secretary Rik Latyeskov and the 15 Governors of the Provisional Soviet Republics signed the Treaty of Reunification on Christmas Day of 2024, which officially reunified all former Soviet Republics. Their main ideology, Latyeskovism, is very widely supported throughout the nation, and although there are other parties in the government, the New CPSU has been the majority ever since the New USSR's formation. Thanks to Latyeskov's more lenient approach to Socialism, the New USSR has seen an astounding level of economic and military growth, thus becoming the only remaining superpower in the wake of the 2nd Great Depression that struck back in 2016.

Credit goes to :icondalttt: for the AK-12 barrel featured here: dalttt.deviantart.com/art/Kala… and the stock and pistol grip featured here: www.deviantart.com/art/Kalashn…, along with :iconairsoftfarmer: for the rest of the parts on the AK-24 featured here: airsoftfarmer.deviantart.com/a…. The top receiver and handguard of the AK-24 were also made by airsoftfarmer but were modified by me, and all of the parts were put together with Photoshop Elements 11. The other variants were modified from the AK-24 design though they used some parts from DaltTT's guns.
